It is vital we all cooperate in avoiding gatherings in order to flatten the curve of Covid onset and save lives. Yet many churches are meeting, and are still planning to hold their full schedule of Lenten services with group meals, leading to Easter.

Nothing less than your leadership will prevail upon them to quickly adapt in the way they deliver services. An old school phone tree for example, is one way to extend compassionate care and spiritual connection throughout a church community.

Please put out a strong statement to churches, that services must be done without gatherings. That non- symptomatic people can still infect others who then die of it. And that caring for our neighbors means NOT spreading this highly contagious illness which would overwhelm our healthcare system.
