Implement policies for children age 5-18 with Special Needs.
My son sustained a traumatic brain injury at birth, and was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 5 .The last 12 years have been a struggle to get much needed services for his ongoing care and mental well being. Programs and care services have been substantially cut by the government, this leaves children and families unable to be productive in employment and the children lack much needed care and developmental services . These cuts to Michelle P Waiver programs and other waivers effects thousands of families across the Nation.Lack of care leaves families unable to work receive services for ongoing therapy and mental stabilization services. Keep our children safe, and keep therapy and care services in place that will help them to become productive citizens. Change policies to ensure our children ages 5-18 , receive ongoing care for their future well being.
