Petition Closed

STATE FARM EMPLOYEES SHOULD NOT SERVE "BAD LANDLORDS" serves as President of the Board of Directors of a Seattle "bad landlord," SHAG (Senior Housing Assistance Group). I have a Petition targeting SHAG, HUD, and the City of Seattle, as well, to no avail.

Since living in SHAG's Arrowhead Gardens, I've been diagnosed with asthma and COPD and am exposed to city bus and other vehicle pollutants, secondhand smoke (though they claimed it is a non-smoking property), have been harassed by smokers whom SHAG is just egging on, and my doctor has requested that I be released from my lease as an ADA Accommodation Request to both SHAG and Seattle Housing Authority, but SHAG refuses to communicate with me in writing in retaliation for exposing their abuses, and Seattle Housing Authority chooses to violate Federal ADA laws and refuses to port my voucher until this "bad landlord" releases me from my lease.

Jim Sullivan refuses to respond, thereby condoning and supporting SHAG's illegalities. Here is the one and only response I've ever received from Jim Sullivan:

Ms. Tucker,
Yes - I have opened & read the messages I've received from you. However, I know that the people on the management staff at Independent Living are already working to resolve the issues and concerns you have expressed as soon as reasonably possible. I have asked them to keep me informed as they move forward. Jim Sullivan

None of these entities care anything about the health and welfare of the Seniors/Disabled, who are ADA protected classes. They are hooked like crack on the Section 8 money they receive monthly, $713 in my case), and Seattle Housing Authority is only too happy to continue shelling out all this cash to SHAG with no concern whatsoever for the fact that they're a "bad landlord."

Not only SHAG, but State Farm should be boycotted, as well. There is no excuse for this whatsoever. Jim Sullivan knows full well that SHAG refuses to communicate with me in writing in retaliation for filing various complaints. And just take a look at this site:

SHAG, Seattle Housing Authority, and HUD should be held responsible for violating Federal ADA laws.

Please inundate with e-mails and phone calls to his office: (425) 226-3322 and fax: (425) 228-9001 fax.

Please also inundate Seattle Housing Authority:,,, and HUD:,, as well as, ed_o',, and Fair Housing of Washington:,,, demanding immediate action.
