Jason Bloome started this petition to U.S. Representatives and

Please establish an easy-to-use federal COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) Application Website (similar to the healthcare.gov/ Affordable Care Act website) so we can quickly apply for the PUA $600/week funds which expires in July.

With millions of Americans applying for Unemployment Insurance (UI), many state UI websites are inaccessible, constantly crashing and, in many cases, still not customized for applicants who qualify for UI under the new PUA guidelines.  Faulty UI state websites prevent us from applying for the temporary federal PUA benefit which, in many states (e.g. Florida, Missouri, Kansas, South Carolina, Texas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Wyoming, West Virginia, Louisiana, Ohio, etc.), is higher than regular state UI benefits.

We need quick access to PUA monies to help us pay for food, rent and utilities while our state UI applications are being processed.  A national problem demands a national solution.  Congress allocated pandemic funding to help Americans in this time of crisis.  Now, they need to establish a national PUA application website with the appropriate infrastructure to help us efficiently receive these time-limited funds.
