We the undersigned seek the removal of General Sherman and General Grant Statues and Monuments. We believe that these two men waged a war of aggression against American Civilians who were protecting their homes. We further allege that these men further destroyed private property of citizens who were not involved in the war effort. We also allege that these men perpetuated murder of innocent civilians in the southern states. We the undersigned, make the following charges against these men:
1. They knowingly and willfully allowed the destruction of private property. (Federal War Crimes Against Civilians). They allowed the theft and destruction of food supplies used by civilians.
2. They knowingly and willfully allowed for the destruction of public works/utilities used by and for civilian purposes.
3. They knowingly and willfully committed heinous acts against civilians (women, children and those who were held in captivity). For example, they would loot and steal from civilians who were not a part of the war effort.
4. They knowingly and willfully knew and took part in plans that would allow for the assassination of leaders of a foreign power.
Since these charges are made; we request that the monuments and statues that memorialize these men to be removed and put into another location that is not on public property (such as court houses, public parks, etc).
