Stop the telecommunications tower at Crimea Park

The residents surrounding Crimea Reserve, Crimea Street Morley WA, would be grateful if you would sign this petition.

Approximately 18 months ago, the local community refused the application for Vodafone to install a mobile phone tower (which is suitable to house another 2 companies). The City of Bayswater councillors also refused the application on a number of grounds including the non-compliance with their Policy for structures like this not to be built within a 250m radius of residential properties.

Vodafone have since taken their application to the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT), who have overruled all of the above concerns and have allowed Vodafone to proceed.

This petition will be taken to the State Government asking them to review the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004, which allows SAT to overrule all local government policies, by-laws and regulations. If they revise this Act, this would protect all people in Western Australia from SAT making decisions against policies, by-laws and regulations.

Thanking you for your support.
