Students who share a passion for debating and orating would like to propose a ‘St. Helena College & Career Academy Debate Club. Debate Club's aim is to empower Academy students with the skills of expressing their beliefs clearly and concisely, public speaking and effective communication in a formal setting, and staying aware of current events in the world. The club would give my classmates and I a fun way of developing our oratorical skills, improve our critical thinking skills, show us how to result conflict, teach us organization and clarity, and show us how to persuade and listen.
