The Meridian High School in Boise Idaho does not have a Rock Climbing competitive team as an afterschool sport option. I know a large amount of people who Rock Climb, and would be very interested in joining a Rock Climbing Team if it were to come to MHS. If a team were to start, it would likely spark an interest in many people who would like to see if rock climbing is something they would like to do. The Rock Climbing Team could practice at Vertical View Rock Climbing Gym, a gym on Overland Road that hosts competitions, and the team could possibly enter in other competitions at other gyms in the area such as The Commons or Asana Climbing Gym. A Rock Climbing Team would be a great opportunity to get more people active in the area.
