Start an Orchestra in Carroll ISD

Learning an instrument can be one of the most rewarding experiences in one's life. It's not only scientifically proven to be beneficial to the brain, but can provide a friendly community as well. Here at Carroll ISD, many people are missing out on the experience just because they aren't provided with the opportunity. Although a band program is offered, the addition of an orchestra would broaden the outreach of music.

Playing an instrument opens up an entirely new world of discovery and friendship. It leads to numerous opportunities for developing leadership, confidence, discipline, and character. An orchestra is also a place where people of similar passions are brought together to create something beautiful.

Although our school district doesn't have an orchestra, the orchestra program has been flourishing in many neighboring school districts in Highland Park, Keller, Grapevine-Colleyville, Coppell, Lewisville and many more. Among the top schools of Texas, Carroll ISD is one of the few lacking in an orchestra program.

The addition of an orchestra in Carroll ISD would foster generations of future young musicians to come. More students would participate in school activities through music and music would become a more prominent force in student life, shaping the Carroll community in a profound way.

Many of the Carroll students have expressed their interest in learning a new instrument and starting an orchestra. Please sign this petition to make a difference.
