Urge Starbucks to Switch Their Cups to Recyclable Materials

4 BILLION cups from Starbucks alone are put into landfills each year.
Most often, when the waste is not properly taken care of (recycled), the waste decomposes and produces harmful gases (greenhouse gases) that lead to global warming.
Many people may think that the paper cups are recyclable as they are, well, paper. However, there is a plastic lining inside the cup which makes the cup unable to be recycled.
In the UK, Starbucks paper cups became recyclable in 2015, using a thinner, recyclable plastic lining. This was a huge step. However, in the US and many other countries, ALL cups are still non-recyclable. We need to fix this.
If their cups were recyclable, we would have a lot less waste (especially that of which leads to global warming) and overall, a more beautiful land shown by our earth to us.
