Long live the Jockey

Long live the Jockey
We have been told that star pubs and bars are going to be taking the pub and trying to put a management agreement on it and kicking the current landlords out and trying to take all profits for themselves.
After a long break due to covid the pub was bound to be in a bad place. When we finally opened the doors again the Jockey turned a corner. The pub has never been so busy after lots of hard work and hundreds of really happy customers they want to just put a stop to it, now it's finally working after years of being run wrong.
Look around at other pubs in the area e.g the stirrup. It's such a shame to see pubs go wrong and end up being turned into flats because of greedy brewerys trying to take all profits out of the community. Jobs big and small everyone chips in and once it becomes managed all this community spirit will disappear. 15 jobs will be gone that's 15 people out of work and in the job centre all for what so they can make a couple of extra £££. Needless to say about the entrainment side that have just had the worst 2 years of their lives. We have DJ and singers 3 nights a week that rely on us. Then star pubs and bars want to give the new management a £150.00 budget a week towards entertainment. This takes the entertainment from 3 nights a week to 1 night every 2 weeks, which is quite frankly and insult a slap in the face.
Its disgusting and it needs to be stopped it's not just our pub it's 3 other pubs in the area they've decided to do it to. They've done this in a underhanded way after getting people to sign leases and spending money to do their sites up that were falling apart.
Long live the local
