Some school systems along the path of totality announced they are closing for what's been called the "Great American Eclipse." The prime viewing path will stretch across 12 states in an almost-70-mile-wide swath, starting in Oregon and ending in South Carolina.  The entire event will last about 2-3 hours but the period when the moon completely blocks the sun in the path of totality will take less than 3 minutes, and shorten as you move away from the center line. This is a once in a life time event.

My child are being held in a gym to view it. I want my children to be able to tell the future generations they witnessed this. Who knows maybe they will be a teacher or scientists telling kids I was your age when I seen the (Great American Eclipse)! I respect Stanley Bean and I wanted to show him how important it is not just to my family but to many families in our school district. So if this historic event is important to you as it is to me and my family please stand with me. To ask Stanley Bean to close our schools on August 21st 2017 or give the families that want to be with their kids a excused abuses! By signing this petition you are letting our school district know this event is important to us all. We want our children to be able to see it outside. By letting school out early, closing or getting a excused abuses. You are responsible for your children to be able to view this amazing historic event. It's truly once in a life time! Hold your children tight and make this day one of the best memories. Thank you Stanley Bean for everything you do. God bless each and everyone of you.

Thank you, Roxi Branch
