Stand against the silence of MMIWP in Oklahoma
Native American people make up 13% of Oklahoma’s population. Citizens of the Potawatomi Nation state that Oklahoma is home to 39 tribes and ranks 10th in the nation for missing and murdered Indigenous women.
According to research from the Lakota Tribe, Native women are murdered at 10 times the national average.
This ongoing issue of MMIWP remains to be unsolved at the federal level. We must take a stand against ignoring the facts and statistics of MMIWP.
