We Have a Right to Good Jobs in Boston As a member of Right to the City and the Raise Up Coalition, we are taking a stance this year to fight for Earned Sick Time. We are talking protecting close to a million workers in Mass who have no sick time. We are talking about job security and creating a healthy work place and neighborhood with this benefit. We are talking about workers having the Right to a good job they can count on when they are sick, have to visit the doctor and or care for a sick family member and not have the fear of losing their job or a days pay. We have already seen success in this campaign with the Minimum Wage victory that will boost workers’ pay from $8 an hr to $11 an hr over the next few years. Starting in January our minimum wage will be $9 an hr. NOW, Sick Time needs our help.
After a massive signature campaign Sick Time is on the ballot THIS YEAR. We want workers, voters and families to support a Vote YES on Question 4 to pass Earned Sick Time for close to a millions workers in Massachusetts.
