Attention all high schoolers in Stamford

On February 26th, 2021, Stamford Public Schools announced that elementary and middle school hybrid students would return to in-person learning five days a week, starting with elementary schools on March 8th and Middle schools starting on March 15th. Students want to get a full education and the only way for this to happen is to reopen High Schools to five days a week.

We are approaching a year when all schools were closed for “two weeks” to slow the curve. The covid rates are down nationally and in Stamford. It’s now time to talk about getting our high schoolers back to five days per week with safety measures in place.  CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, stated that with low transmission rates schools can relax the physical distancing guideline from six feet to three feet. Instead of trying to get High schools in Stamford to keep the hybrid model we Students, Faculty, and Staff need to come together and make a plan for High schools to reopen full time.
