Stagecoach is an iconic company, that has helped millions across the United Kingdom get from anywhere they want, surely the design of a stagecoach gold turning round the corner, towards your stop, is as iconic as the company itself. Seeing that design for many meant the relief of sitting inside a warm bus after a long stressful day, the journey home almost over, and now Stagecoach wants to take away.

Stagecoach argues this is a necessary evil because their bus types have become too confusing, but how little faith must they have in the traveller that we cannot distinguish from a gold, long distance or normal bus? When most of us obviously can. Even if this was an issue we were facing, a rebranding of the already existing bus types would not solve this issue, it is a waste of the company’s time and money, especially when it’s loyal fans are so against it. the slick, modern design of stagecoach and stagecoach gold is what separates it from travel companies such as Arriva with worse designs, and this new design promises to put them on a lower level, the same level as Arriva.
