Residents Permit Parking in Brunswick/Wellington Mill Area

We should be able to find a parking space near our homes!
People using the residential streets for parking while accessing local shops & amenities causes residents to struggle to find a parking space at home. I'm opening this petition to look at introducing a residential parking scheme that would permit residents (2 permits per household) + 1 visitors permit for Chorley Street, Britannia Street, Gladstone Street & Strangman Street in Leek.
This would reduce the number of cars using the streets for town-access parking and free up space for those that need it most - us the residents.
Additionally I am petitioning to challenge the current parking restrictions in force by means of the single yellow line on these streets. I believe these restrictions stem from when the Brunswick and Wellington Mills were operational, however both are now residential and the restrictions between 9am-5pm and 8am-6pm weekdays seem obsolete.
You can help by signing this petition - get our parking spaces back!
