My St. Joe's is a Catholic hospital, that accommodates EVERY religion equally, and should absolutely remain that way! Taking the cross down, gives the impression that they are embarrassed of their religion, and it makes it easier for us to forget those who helped to create this organization, to begin with, which were the Catholic nuns! Do not remove the history, (from the building, or the logo,) be proud of it!

We must not allow history to be erased. The Catholic Church has been part of the social fabric of Toronto. The cross is a symbol of service to ALL people, respecting the dignity of human life at EVERY stage. Exactly who is being offended by the cross?

I was born here. Because I believe in religious freedom. Because if other religions can openly celebrate their faith wearing niqabs, turbans, place symbols on their public buildings then Christians should be able to do so as well. This has been the background of the hospital, always has been and people don't seem offended by the outward symbols when their lives are saved there.

There's no need to take down the cross - let's respect the matter it's been there for years - why the nonsense on a symbol !!! Shame on those who want it down !!!

I worked with the sisters of St Joseph's at this hospital in palliative care 30 years ago. Their beliefs on compassionate care for all and the historical importance of the work of the Sisters of ST Joseph's in Canada make this place a very unique landmark that should retain all its original identity including the cross.

I'm signing because I am fed up with political correctness. Don't forget who built this country! Wiping out the history can't be a good thing.
