Upperclassmen attending NDCL should be able to go off-campus during ELB and lunch blocks. This is a privilege many upperclassmen have at other schools, including Gilmour, Riverside, Mayfield, and Chardon, and NDCL students should be given the same opportunity. NDCL is a college preparatory school and should have the same benefits as one. In this way, students can learn and demonstrate the much-needed skills of time management and responsibility. If students are unable to handle this benefit, the privilege can be taken away after receiving a certain amount of tardies. In doing such, students can fully experience the college-prep aspect of this school, and prepare for the next step after high school.
