Fight for Five

The students of Apex High have been displaced from our natural habitat on Laura Duncan road. Our parking convenience and lunch options have been vastly reduced from which the rubble we rise above at the Green Level location, especially for the class of 2018.

The students of Apex High School respectfully request a 5 minute lunch extension to the existing 40 minute time slot. We understand that we cannot partake in the "smart lunch" time frame like every other high school in and around the Wake county area, but we strongly feel that the staff can and should accommodate a 45 minute lunch. To achieve this we propose that 1 minute be cut from the 6 minute classroom transitional period. We are fully aware that students are still getting acclimated to the new campus and suggest that the 45 minute lunch time should be phased in our schedule at the start of second quarter. Now that our campus is under one roof and is easy to navigate (or will be soon) we feel that this plan is more achievable than ever.
