Encourage PVHS administration to allow seniors to decorate their caps for graduation

Many Paloma Valley High School seniors are disappointed to find out that they will not be allowed to decorate their caps for graduation. Students look forward to this aspect of graduation where they are able to express their individuality and accomplishments proudly on their caps.
School officials have previously expressed that the ban on decorations is due to the incapability of all seniors to afford to participate. However, if this is the main reason behind their decision, it is not exhibited throughout all of senior year. Seniors are allowed to paint parking spots, purchase t-shirts, grad nite tickets, prom tickets, etc. Decorating caps can easily be done for a small amount of money, and there are staff and students willing to help those that want to participate but are not able to.
Decorating caps will allow students to get creative and add individuality to their caps and gowns. Additionally, families will be able to recognize their graduates from the stands. We hope Paloma Valley administration will take into consideration what the senior class wants and lift the ban on cap decorations!
