We are writing this petition to ask for an Extra Credit opportunity for students currently in Nursing 201 that be offered toward existing exam averages regardless of previously reaching the 77% mark. The majority of students currently enrolled in this course began their nursing school journey predominately virtually, and this semester has required severe adjustments for students to acclimate to a classroom setting and thus may have reflected in exam performances. Virtual learning may have even been more helpful for many as recorded lectures allowed for the ability to go back and review lectures as often as needed. 

In previous semesters, students were offered the opportunity to receive EC, and could very well have been the reason for their ability to pass the semester and move on. By not offering the same opportunity to these students, there are many who could fail whereas students in same standing in previous semesters would have passed due to extra credit added to their exam average. Every student deserves the same opportunity to succeed, and as EC has been given in the past, it should be given now.
