While it is aggreeable that students should have been studying throughout the term, students have found it very challenging to keep up with the amount of work required by CXC whilst having an added burden of writing end of term mock exams at school as well as maintaining '2 hours of revision' everyday as reccomended by Ms. Samjitsingh Ali at the Form 5 meet the parents activity.

In addition, students as well as teachers were only made aware of the exam's timetable 2-3 days before the exam, when it would have been most convenient to have this timetable 1-2 weeks before mock exams were scheduled to begin. Students are frustrated and concerned about this as we are severely under prepared and would rather have more time to prepare for our actual exams and complete our SBAs and the syllabus for CXC.

Students reccomend that the mock exams be either cancelled completely to allow more time for past paper work. Or, the exams be open book as that is a form of revision that will help us become prepared, rather than cramming work to get a good grade in these mock exams as it is seen as a reflection of how we will do in the actual exams.

Please consider these points and sign this petition if you agree that administration must re-evaluate their untimely decision to have mock exams without a timetable released just one day before they are set to begin.
