this is absolute bull shit, so they think a five year old is immune to this deadly virus? anyone can die from this no matter the size, race, age. at this rate this virus wont be going away any time soon. smh

After yet another, very obviously required, U turn I think it is about time this was a requirement in the covid factories the government have forced to open anyway. We have a responsible young man being denied education by foolish leaders, at all levels, for the most irresponsible of reasons, gross negligence from my point of view. I have seen the results in my own area 2 weeks after they opened the schools and our cases tripled, it was so obvious that was going to happen, who needs the education? the children or those in charge? I am waiting for the "Lessons will be learned", again. I learned my lessons in school 50 years ago, what schools did these people attend?, that left them so ignorant.

What kind of nutters are in charge of this school?
This boy is a great example to others (and that includes adults) in wanting to prevent further contamination. Why punish him?

This is absolutely ridiculous, all teaching and other staff will be wearing a mask. Everyone is supposed to be wearing masks, so why penalise a child for obeying the law?

Anyone who needs to be in an environment that's heavily populated in the current pandemic situation should be allowed to take safety precautions to cut down the risk of them getting covid. This is no different for a child in a school or CEO at a company meeting. With the cases of covid currently on the rise in schools I would have thought a school would welcome a child wanting to be extra careful. If a simple mask will reduce not only his chance of getting covid but also his anxiety about getting ill or passing it on then I can't see the harm. The health board & government are hammering home the message ' hands, face, space' surely this mask till the situation is solved can not harm . Schools rethink please !

This family are obviously trying to do their best to stop this disease unlike so-called educated people, sadly some health people too (!) who think that Covid obeys our rules...IT DOESN'T.
