A bill passed on May 7, 2019 called the, “Senate Bill 1033” prohibits, “abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, but there are certain exceptions, such as when the pregnancy is not viable or the fetus has "severe and irreversible" abnormalities.” This means that women are allowed to abort their child if they are diagnosed with a disease. The bill also states that women would be informed about the disease and help aid in treatment.
