The current food production system carries a high risk of food shortages at any moment. Covid-19 has shown this. More local CSA's and community gardens will greatly increase the food security of the surrounding neighborhoods.

I believe the OASIS project will provide invaluable support and relief to people of the city as it continues to develop, and grow. The city needs to look at the OASIS project proposal carefully and take sustainable action to build its emergency food reserve and make use of vacant spaces wisely with the health and wellness of its residents close in mind.
