St. Helier Yacht Club members oppose the proposal to increase memberships fees by 10%
Why this petition matters
For St. Helier Yacht Club members only: The Executive Committee of St. Helier Yacht Club is proposing at the AGM on 20th April to increase all memberships fees for 2023 by 10%. In the years leading up to 2022 membership fees had already risen at an above-inflationary amount. Over the equivalent period, income from the catering franchise has only risen by 7% despite the rental value of the flat increasing significantly. Further increasing the fees by the proposed extent and in the current climate could well reduce the membership, resulting in those remaining having to pay even more in the future. By signing this petition you will be expressing your wish for the Club not to increase fees for 2023 by 10%, but to apply no more than the most recently available Jersey RPI figure (3.8% in December 2021). Please fill in your membership number in brackets behind your surname.
