SCPHS should NOT go back to full capacity

SCPHS should NOT go back to full capacity
Why this petition matters
St. Charles Parish high schools should continue with the hybrid schedule. Going back to full capacity is NOT safe. We want to flatten the curve, NOT raise it. Students in school can not physically socially distance. High schools contain a higher amount of students than other schools, such as elementary and middle schools in our parish, making it extremely difficult to limit close interaction. The classrooms are too small to fit the number of students while remaining 6 feet apart.
Students and parents of St. Charles Parish, want to give our say so. We need to make decisions that place our student’s health and well-being as a top priority. The reason for opening to full capacity has even sprung is because COVID-19 cases are decreasing. Taking such actions will only increase the number of cases again. We want to work against this and continue to make a better change for our local cities and the world.
To all students, parents, and citizens of St. Charles Parish, please sign if you are in agreement with not opening our parish high schools to full capacity. We will make sure that our petitions will be sent to St. Charles Parish Central Office and SCP School Board. Thank You!
