As your district councillors, we are aware of postal and address lookup software issues experienced by some residents on Archers Fields, owing to the way that the address is written to include Sandridge Road. Archers Fields is an elementary road which supplements Sandridge Road, which is why it includes Sandridge Road in its address.

While the council is able to formally change the address name to remove Sandridge Road, this would require the entirety of Archers Fields to be in agreement and consent to the address being changed.

This is a petition on behalf of residents of Archers Fields for St Albans District Council to formally change the address name to remove the inclusion of Sandridge Road, making Archers Fields a road in its own right and alleviating the aforementioned issues.
