Even though it's standard for domestic DVDs of foreign movies to include the original spoken language, it's rare to find the same in localizations of foreign-made games. Considering video games often have much more spoken dialog than a movie, video game packaging should list what spoken languages or subtitle options are included. Regardless of how well-made the dub may be, game publishers such as Square Enix that routinely release dub-only foreign-made games need to realize that there are many people who dislike only being given a dub and that they are hurting their bottom line by only including a dub.
By signing this petition, you are letting Square Enix know that they should make their customers happy by giving them what they want (like any good business), especially when it doesn't take any extra effort on their part other than leaving in a language that was already there in the first place! And hopefully, other companies will take notice and start to do the same! Thank you for signing!

Please include the original language in all your foreign-made games and list on the game's packaging what spoken languages or subtitle options are available. Follow the example of the movie industry which already does this. Since video games often have much more spoken dialog than a movie, it's even more important that video games include the original language. Regardless of how well-made the dubs you produce may be, realize that there are many people who dislike dubs and that there are many fans who will not buy your games because of the consistent lack of the original language.
