Spruce Power / Energy Service Experts Stop Ignoring Customers
I signed up for a solar PV lease in 2013. Since then the original company folded, the lease was sold to anther company and then again to Solar Service Experts.
It took several months to get things repaired and back in December 2020, the local installers who replaced 6 microinverters told me the Locus device that transmits data was not working and needed to be replaced. It's now May of 2022 and I have not been able to get this fixed. I do not think that there is a method of communicating what is actually working on my system without this and for all I know, several more power inverters are probably no longer working but they keep sending me scripted responses on checking basic troubleshooting when I contact their "support".
In more recent exchange, I inquired about the performance level guarantees and was told that:
"...the agreement has been transferred to Spruce and you can refer to the agreement, "The Performance Guarantee are separate and independent from its obligations under this agreement." Therefore, the Performance Guarantee was not transferable and stated with the original installer."
Essentially Spruce bought out the contract from the previous company but was able to drop the performance guarantee that I was originally in my lease agreement.
If you look up Spruce Power or Solar Service Experts, you'll find a ton of complaints. A complaint to their local BBB accomplished nothing.
