Better signage for the crosswalk light on Queen Street (Elmvale)
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
Too many times people have not seen the lights change for the crosswalk. I know many people who have had to stop crossing as someone drove through the red light. The signage needs to change due to the number of people who use this light daily.
Goal- To replace the current signs to nearly double that of the current ones with a flashing red light above it, or place a stop sign at the intersection of Simcoe and Queen Street, and another at the intersection of Shaw and Queen Street. The cost of these two signs would be $3,200 + installation.
I am asking Springwater Council to purchase these immediately for the safety of all people using this crosswalk. I have been told that I need to bring a petition to council and a delegation to join me at a council meeting (September 5, 2018 @6:30pm).
Thank you for helping us to keep Elmvale safe for not only our children, but for all residents of Elmvale.
