Recently the head of Rock at Spotify has stepped down. Following the head of Metal at Spotify. Rock & Metal music while they may not be Pop or Hip Hop are still two massive genres who deserve the curation only a human can provide. We can't be left to just the algorithm. 

For many months the metal playlists have been stale suffering lack of updates and human involvement. Its no surprise that most of the playlists are algorithm based but it is very obvious to the consumer the quality of curation we come to expect from Spotify can't be replaced by algorithms. 

I have spent the last 10 years of my life bolstering a career in discovering underground Rock and Metal artists who deserved to be heard. I have a passion for finding unknown artists and helping people find them. My ear is constantly to the ground.
