Spontex's 'Handy Tough Scourer' comes with a blue plastic handle attached, supposedly make it easier to use. In this day and age it seems like Spontex could remove this piece of plastic from their design wouldn't you agree? Sign this petition if you do!

I often aspire to stand by the mantra 'the best part is no part' - i.e. simplifying a design to make it easier to operate, more straightforward to manufacture and more environmentally friendly. It seems pretty ridiculous to have a handle attached to what is essentially a metal sponge. Do foam sponges require handles as well now? I urgently implore Spontex to end the sale of this particular product.

Returning to the 'non-handle' scourer would undoubtedly reduce Spontex's manufacturing costs, reduce the size and weight for their transportation logistics and reduce plastic waste to become more environmentally responsible.

We may not get Spontex to change their lust for blue handles, but what we CAN do is vote with our wallets. If no one buys this product, they will not continue to make it. We have a say in all of this. We have the power to make the world a little bit better. Thank you!
