I am a mother to a 4 year old boy who fortunately drives but have had to travel alot to find free outdoor pool/splash pad areas. The closest being Chester le street. Which isn't convenient for people who don't drive. Our crowtree leisure centre closed many years ago but hasn't been replaced with any sort of childrens leisure water activity area. I think adding something like a splash pad/outdoor paddling pool would be a great addition to Sunderland, in any of the local parks such as Barnes or Herrington country park, or at Seaburn/Roker beach!
