To the Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox, Orem Utah City councilors, the Utah Construction workers and the Orem Mayor Richard Brunst. Over on the Orem State Street section. I cross the road on my bike almost everyday and I find traffic to be busy on University Pkwy 1300 South and State Street Drive. Traffic is very heavy and I don't feel safe crossing the intersection as there was times when I almost got hit by a car on my bike, especially the Christmas holidays.

Traffic on State Street is so bad that there's literally a traffic jam. I get nervous for the pedestrians on foot. I don't feel safe crossing the street, it's gotten super busy lately and bad that I get scared that a speeding car will run me over.

The Orem City in Utah is growing very big to the point where it's like living in Salt Lake City. There are homeless people, kids, elderly people and people in wheelchairs on the crosswalk that are always in danger of getting run over by a car. Also the drivers often do not pay attention to the pedestrians as drivers tend to look at their phones while driving.

Please convince the Utah residents and the Orem Mayor Richard Brunst to put their tax money to building either an overpass bridge or an underpass tunnel for the Utah Construction workers to build, that goes right over or under state street busiest highway. This would solve the safety issues Pedestrians and bikers face crossing State Street and would help them get to the mega stores like Best Buy or University Place Mall. The Orem City has already built an overpass over I-15 for the UVU students. There is no reason to forget the State Street overpass bridge or tunnel we need it built right away.

Please convince people to pay taxes and use the tax money to make Orem City safe for the Pedestrians. We need an overpass or underpass to bypass the busy traffic on State Street. Our Orem city in Utah is growing and people are in danger of getting run over by a car. Please make it safe for Orem residents to cross State Street. The time for change it now. Please sign the petition to make Orem a safer place as Lindon city already has an underpass tunnel.
