FREQUENT HIGH SPEED ACCIDENTS OCCUR with speeders on both Vanowen and Victory boulevards in the West Hills, Canoga Park area.  Many accidents go unreported.

We want to reduce speeding, drag racing and negligent driving on these two roads.  People love to speed on these two boulevards and they are near high schools, middle schools and businesses.

We feel traffic cameras on the two streets can be used to punish offenders, and keep traffic speeds safe on these two streets. 

There have been many near accidents due to speeding on these streets, and many families have voiced their fear of driving home in their neighborhoods because of the excessive speeding done by many drivers.  There also were at time drag racing by some kids. 

If the cameras were in placed, the kids and anyone speeding will be held liable for their violation, and we can keep our streets safe.

Burbank boulevard may also need traffic cameras to give out speeding tickets.
