Parkway Blvd is a residential road, with schools on it (Parkway Elementary) and nearby (North Stafford), a library, and community pool.  It is a main recreational and walking area, for children and adults.  

The speed limit of 35 would be relatively adequate IF drivers respected it (they don't) and IF they paid attention to the two unprotected crosswalks.  Alas, it is an all too common occurrence that drivers do not stop for pedestrians already engaged in the crosswalk (let alone stop for pedestrians waiting to cross).

After witnessing too many near misses and outrageous speeding on Parkway Speedway over the past 10 years, it is time to place serious speed bumps before these crosswalks to enforce the speed limits and remind distracted and speeding drivers that yes, the crosswalks do mean there are pedestrians.
