The Nagambie Preschool and Childcare Centre provides education and care to the children and their families of our community. The centre supports approx.  70 children Monday thru Friday between 7am & 5:30pm.

There is growing concern for the safety and welfare of our community members due to the increased amount of traffic and associated traveling  speeds. Just in the last month, there has been 5 near misses which could have led to serious injuries and/or death.

To minimise the risk, we are seeking your support to have the authorities investigate and conduct a speed limit review with the intent to have it reduced to 40kmh.

By supporting this petition,

• Council will place traffic counters out – these will measure number of cars traveling on the road and the speeds they are traveling at.
• Council will then undertake a speed limit review and collate the evidence.
• Council then obtains support / approval from Victoria Police
• This information gets submitted to VicRoads for their review and decision.
