• We desperately need drivers to slow down on our residential road. Not just for the sake of the neighborhood children, but for the wildlife as well. 

This speeding issue has become progressively worse each year, and now to the point of dangerous.  We need speed humps! The police no longer sit and monitor.  I am at a loss of what to do.

Although there are many indigenous wildlife living in the nearby sanctuary, the Sandhill Cranes and their new babies worry us the most.  One adolescent is severely injured, what is left of his foot is barely attached.  The foot has been half crushed off, gone, and he is still too young to fly.  The sibling was killed.

The speeders literally use our street as a drag strip (at all hours).  And I'm not certain of what this new trend is, but the no-muffler thing is unbearable.  It is a terrifying noise when not expecting it, such as when sleeping.

We have two (yes, two) HOAs. They are useless here.  

This is also an unincorporated area of Brevard county.  I didn't see anything on the site to get speed humps installation process moving...but I know a petition is a great way to start.

(The photo is of the babies before one was killed and the other maimed and crippled). Several have call Wildlife Rescue and they cannot save the foot so leaving him to his parents, nature.  So very heartbreaking.
