The residents of Watkins Community have gone too long without a reliable internet service provider.  As the world around us abounds in the latest technology, we are left behind in the dark ages of unreliable satellite internet or mobile hotspots with high prices, poor bandwidth, and data caps. 
     Our neighbors as near as a mile away have decent cable internet while others within 5 miles have high speed glory. With the increase of remote learning and folks working from home, we need to be able to meet the needs of our children and loved ones. We should not be penalized because we live in a rural area. We are not unreachable and we will not be silent. 
     This petition serves the residents of Watkins, especially those living in areas where cable internet providers have deemed us as not possible or unreachable.  Anything is possible as long as there are those who are willing.  
     We appeal to those at Spectrum with the power to make this change.  Don’t let an entire community of potential customers be discriminated against because of locale.  We have needs that only a reliable, high-speed, cable-based internet provider can supply.  Please allow us to work and our children to learn from the safety of our homes.
