Just yesterday I met my new neighbor 22 years old beautiful young lady with a 3-year-old son

she was forced to be married at 18 to a 10-year older guy and gave birth to her son at the age of 19. she was supposed to be in college studying to be a productive human resource. All that potential, youth, and brilliant mind is gone now or is hidden beneath the responsibilities of doing chores for her family. It may sound a little harsh that this marriage at such a delicate age ruined her life as well as led to the increase in our country's population and wasted a potential economic contributor.

There are millions of girls like this being forced to marry a strange man against their will ruining their life. The strangest thing is that in most cases women are too frightened to speak or they don't know what to do, even if they would like to say no to their family they can't because there is no one to seek help.

I would like to propose the idea of making a different helpline number which women can contact when they are forced to marry against their will because even if they try to say no there is rarely anyone to help. We need to spread awareness with help of posters, movements, schemes and online advertisements in WhatsApp groups and Facebook and most importantly a different Helpline Number will highlight this issue, encourage them to fight for their rights and will provide them much needed support.
