On January 6th, domestic terrorists descended on Washington DC to disrupt our constitutional democracy. The ensuing violence caused 4+ deaths and was largely sparked by the lies spread by President Trump regarding the integrity of the 2020 Presidential Election. Delegate Daniel Cox, a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates has echoed these lies as well as shared baseless conspiracy theories on his Twitter account, where he also blocks constituents who disagree with him. As well, he was present and abetted the violence seen this week as he sponsored buses that took rioters to the Capitol and even tweeted calling VP Pence a "traitor". This conduct is unbecoming of a Maryland Delegate and as such we the undersigned demand that House leadership commence expulsion proceedings against Delegate Daniel Cox.
