Feb. 11 Addendum: We must add all those testified in the House proceeding who were terminated without cause — and the 4 prosecutors in the Roger Stone case to our list of those we support. 

Last night, I saw what real representation looks like. Two individuals in particular -----Sen. Doug Jones of Alabama and Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah -- did what honest, fact-driven, moral leaders do: they voted with their conscience to represent the best interests of the people. They did not vote to win favor. They did not vote to follow the pack. Nor did they vote to preserve their own futures. In fact, their votes will likely do them significant political harm.

Regardless of your political leanings, we must stand up and defend such honorable conduct against the backlash that has already begun to fester. Integrity and honesty in the political process is scarce. We must enthusiastically stand up and strongly defend the democratic process by supporting these two leaders who voted for the people -- not against them or despite them.

Why do I care? Why should you? America needs thinkers, not merely followers. She needs those who will support her ideals of freedom, fairness -- and facts. Degrading those who happen to disagree with you, is not civil and only spirals our society downward. When you know better, do better. And we can do much better than this.

ACTION Requested: Sign this petition to show all legislators that we are outraged by the political groupthink and politics of fear that are undermining our democracy. Our numbers will show that countless people are watching --- and voting in November.
