This is a major right turn. To remove it will impact on the already congested one-way system at Surrey Quays together with forcing drivers to do u-turns in West Lane as Cathay Street is no longer an option.

All traffic I've observed is ignoring this restriction anyway, it's dangerous to continue it. The road markings are inconsistent with the restriction, since the arrows painted on the road suggest you can turn right. It's a pointless change.

The only access to Jamaica Rd going east is from Abbey St or St James Rd unless this turn is reinstated.

There are too many senseless controls on the London roads recently and the deliberate construction of traffic congestion to frustrate drivers just trying to get from A to B and locals having to cope with resulting pollution has gone too far. There no longer seems to be any logic in the system.

This is totally unnecessary and will cause more congestion to the area

The public consultation was a sham, no one was consulted. No road user other than a cyclist would vote for this. When all the capillaries are closed off and the remaining arteries seize up every day, the council finally achieves its dream of gridlock and pollution and universal misery to all. “If its bad enough, they will go away, meaning less work for us” must think the unaccountable council cretins. How irksome for them, having to facilitate traffic to the Rotherhithe tunnel. Those pesky visitors and residents trying to earn a living to pay their council tax. ”Cant they all just run businesses and do a weekly shop from tricycles?”
