On January 5, 2022, it has been reported that Durham mall Southpoint has canceled the license to one of the few black owned store, Sir Castle Tees. This is due to the recent shootings that has been happening at the mall. The termination of Sir Castle Tees unfairly placed bias that the store not only caters to African Americans and that it is the primary source of violence. This petition calls for Southpoint to rethink its decision on reinstating Sir Castle Tees by showing the support that it has garnered.
