I will let Rosalie say it: “What man on this planet thinks he can shove his hand in his wallet and pay to have sexual access to women? Real men do not need to buy women. They don’t need to buy sex. It says a lot about their own masculinity.. “ ROSALIE HAYNES MARCH 10, 2016 AT 1:38 AM

This is very disturbing. 'Rights to free expression and health' is now seen to be the prerogative of men; women are merely the vehicles to achieve this happy state. AI just lost my support.

Prostitution is not a choice, it is not a profession and it can never be safe for women because it has, as its basis hatred of, and violence towards women.

The petition is a little over the top, but I think it is important for a group with the wide respect of Amnesty to think carefully about its support of an industry which systematically denigrates women.

disappointed in amnesty international, how can you overlook sex slavery and the crossover into prostitution?

I oppose slavery and bondage in all their forms. Human bodies, and the use of them, must not be sold or purchased.

People need to be made aware of this faux feminist movement that glamorizes the exploitation and "voluntary" victimization of women for the benefit of men. Many of these women have been victims of trafficking and childhood sexual abuse, and repeated sexual assault, and cannot find their way out of a vicious cycle of self harm

I think that the positions that the pro-sex industry holds are in line with those of men's rights groups and are designed to support the 'rights' of men, their access to sex, their right not to be bothered by the rights of girls and women.
