Spartan Freedom: Voting against the new policy
This petition had 136 supporters
Starting Monday August 28, 2017 Southeast administration wants to invoke a new policy. This policy requires students to be in three designated areas(Commons, Auditorium and Cafeteria) during the early morning (around 7:55-8:15). This is a bad idea but we aren't just saying its a bad idea and leaving it at that. We are in high school, meaning we are all 15-18 years old, making some of us adults. So, to put something like this rule in place would cause more harm than just leaving everything the way it is. Therefore, this policy is more contradictory than it looks initially at face value.
Other Issues that could be caused:
-Crowded Areas (lots of students)
-Increased probability of physical violence
-Harder to manage due to the amount of students in the area(s)
For the students that have been at southeast for 2+ years you all know how many changes have been made to administration and basic guidelines. Like the ones with electronic devices. Signing this petition would help you. It would help all of us keep Southeast the same. #SpartanPride
