Since they took over the South Western franchise from Stagecoach in 2017 South Western Railway (operated through the First/MTR Group) have catapulted the franchise into disorganization, delay and chaos.

It is us passengers that pay the price; both in time and financially for their consistent inability to operate a rail network.

There have been more RMT strikes than ever before (with yet more planned) and our train fares have continued to rise. It is time for the UK Government to act and place the franchise back into the hands of the state.
