Students have some concerns about going back to school F2F, since the COVID cases are rising  again. I fear we will be more exposed to getting covid if we are F2F rather than having hybrid classes like we did last semester. It’s our last semester and we do not want to be exposed to the possibly of getting covid and delaying completing the program.
South Texas College is still planning on having classes after Winter break, despite knowing the spike in coronavirus. During Winter Break students were on vacation and could have come into contact with someone that is positive for coronavirus. Then, we can expect students to come back to school and spread it. The students and staff from the college are at risk. As we know, many staff have reported being positive, as stated in our recent email from the STC president. We urge the staff at STC to move classes to an online environment to stay safe and keep minimum contact. There is more risk in spreading to our families, our children and the community. We can continue to test in person, in a safe environment, for the ADN program, as we did this previous semester.

We ask STC to move lecture to online and avoid continuous exposure of the virus. We encourage STC and the ADN program coordinators to listen to their students’ and staff needs. Thank you for your time!
